Opis:

Kada politički batinaši ubiju volontera suparničke stranke te usmrte policajca, glavni inspektor Verjeat smatra da su političari koji su ih unajmili jednako krivi kao i batinaši. Verjeat zbog praćenja vijećnika Lardattea zaradi upozorenje od svojih nadređenih. Kada osramoti Lardattea dok je razoružavao taoca (oca ubijenog volontera), Verjeat primi obavijest da će u roku od tjedan dana biti premješten. On ubrza svoj lov na nasilnika i zajedno sa Lefevreom, jednim od svojih mlađih detektiva, smisli složen plan kako bi dobio više vremena prije premještaja. Kako će Verjeat upregnuti svoju čast i dužnost?
