To je prvi firm Ulricha Seidla koji je napravio na Bečkoj filmskoj akademiji, sa željom da prikaže život hendikepiranog čoveka, ali bez lažnih simpatija koje su uobičajene u takvim slučajevima.
Prikazao ga je kao običnog čoveka kojem se možete smejati ili misliti da je dosadan kao i bilo ko drugi.
