    Život studenta Franciszeka tijekom burnih šezdesetih godina. Istovremeno s doktoratom,
    saznaje za vlastiti, najvjerojatnije fatalni poremećaj srca. Ne previše opterećen,
    nastavlja živjeti - prvo u vezi sa starijom ženom, potom u braku. U potrazi za apsolutnim
    odgovorima, okreće se prema religiji, poslije ponovno znanosti, ali čini se da odgovori
    koje traži možda i ne postoje.
