In this sequel to The Jolson Story, we pick up the singer's career just as he has returned to the stage after a premature retirement. But his wife has left him and the appeal of the spotlight isn't what it used to be. This time Jolson trades in the stage for life in the fast lane: women, horses, travel. It takes the death of Moma Yoelson and World War II to bring Jolson back to earth - and to the stage. Once again teamed with manager Steve Martin, Jolson travels the world entertaining troops everywhere from Alaska to Africa. When he finally collapses from exhaustion it takes young, pretty nurse Ellen Clark to show him there's more to life than "just rushing around".

    Pa, nema ne čemu!Wink Drugi deo filma mi se manje sviđa od prvog. Da li još neko deli moje mišljenje da je Kum II lošiji od Kuma I a Kum III od oba? Tako je i sa svim filmovima kojima su dodavani nastavci. Da li ljudima ponestane mašte, ili postanu pohlepni za novcem jer je prethodni deo doneo dobru zaradu, ne znam.  A možda i gledaoci imaju velika očekivanja. Ko će ga znati. Nastavak priče o Džolsonu nije loš, da se razumemo, ali prvi deo je bio bolji.

    Kratak sadržaj

     

     U nastavku priče o Alu Džolsonu pratimo njegovu dalju karijeru po povratku iz prevremene penzije. Nakon što ga je supruga napustila, njegov život ne liči na pređašnji. U početku prestaje da peva i odaje se lagodnom životu: žene, konjske trke, putovanja. Tek ga smrt majke i početak II svetskog rata vraća u stvarnost i na pozornicu. Još jedanput predvođen menadžerom Stivom Martinom, Džolson obilazi svet zabavljajući američke vojnike od Aljaske do Afrike. Kad se zbog iscrpljenosti razboli od groznice, uzima mladu i lepu medicinsku sestru Elen Klark, koja će mu pokazati da je život mnogo više nego stalno jurcanje i iscrpljivanje.
