Reklamna agentica Abigail Page (P. Prentiss) otima mjesto na parkiralištu ljutitom prodavaču opreme za sportski ribolov Rogeru Willoughbyju (R. Hudson), koji se još više razljuti kad shvati da mu ta ista osoba sprema gore nevolje. Abigail dogovori s Rogerovim šefom da pusti Rogera na natjecanje u sportskom ribolovu, jer većeg stručnjaka za tu vještinu jednostavno nema. Roger je, naime, autor priručnika po kojem uče svi novopečeni ribiči. Međutim, on je samo "teoretičar", a o praksi nema pojma i ribolov ga, zapravo, ne zanima...

Šarmantna komedija glasovitog Howarda Hawksa u kojoj Rock Hudson preuzima tip uloge kakav je u prijašnjim redateljevim filmovima glumio Cary Grant (Odgajanje bebe, Bio sam ratna nevjesta, Majmunska posla). U doba kada je snimljena ova komedija Rock Hudson je bio na vrhuncu popularnosti.
