Opis:
1942 godina, Pariz pod okupacijom. Edmond Batinjol, vlasnik prodavnice koga ne zanima politika, živi s ženom i ćerkom u stanu pored prodavnice. Kad njegov budući zet Pier Žan Lamur koji saradjuje s Nemcima izdaje Nacistima jevrejsku porodicu Bernštajn, familija Batinjol preseljava se u njihov stan. Posle nekoliko dana mlad Simon Bernštajn beži od Nemaca i vraća se u svoj bivši stan. Kad gospodin Batinjol nalazi dečaka, žao mu je momka i odlučuje da se pobrine za njega. Sakriva ga pred Pjer Žanom i njegovom ženom. Uskoro u podrum prodavnice gde se sakriva Simon dolaze i njegove dve rodjake. Nažalost Pjer Žan nalazi decu, tada gospodin Batinjol odlučuje da pobegne s njima u Švajcarsku.
