Opis:

Vestern. Nakon što njezin sinčić strada tijekom pljačke banke, salunska plesačica i udovica Kit Tilden (M. O'Hara) odluči ga pokopati kraj njegova oca u Siringu, napuštenom gradiću na apaškom teritoriju. Bivši narednik sjevernjačke vojske (B. Keith), koji je slučajno ubio njezinog sina, odluči joj pomoći prevesti tijelo preko pustinje, iako Kit odbija njegovu pomoć. On natjera drugu dvojicu pljačkaša, dezertera konfederacijske vojske Turka i revolveraša Billyja, da ih prate na tom putu.
Film je redateljski debi Sama Peckinpaha, a snimljen je prema istoimenom romanu A. S. Fleischmana.
