    Rodeo zvezda John Scott (John Wayne) i njegov prijatelj kockar Kansas Charlie (Eddy Chandler) bivaju pogrešno optuženi za oružanu pljačku kod Rattlesnake Gulch rodea, neposredno nakon što je John osvojio novac kao nagradu. Funkcioner Rodea biva opljačkan i ubijen od strane Pita (Paul Fix) minut nakon odlaska Scotta i Kansasa.
