Opis:

Vestern. Kit Banion (B. Stanwyck) se poslije Građanskog rata iz Virginije preselila u Wyoming, stekla bogatstvo i vlasnica je lokala. Već tada je dobila nadimak Maverick Queen jer je svako neobilježeno grlo stoke dobilo njezin žig. Sada se i dalje bavi mutnim poslovima i u dosluhu je s opasnim odmetnicima, Butchom Cassidyjem (H. Petrie) i Sundanceom Kidom (S. Brady). U potrazi za njima u grad stiže detektiv Pinkerton (B. Sullivan) koji se predstavlja kao Jeff Young. Kit Banion to donosi dodatne probleme u život jer joj se Jeff sviđa...
