The Scapegoat (1959)

John Barret odluči se odmoriti od svog dosadnog života i odmor u Francuskoj mu se čini kao idealno riješenje. Tamo upozna siromašnog plemića s kojim dijeli začuđujuću fizičku sličnost. Plemić u tome vidi priliku koju ne želi propustiti, stoga napije Johna i zamijeni mjesta sa njim kako bi se i sam pobjegao od obitelji i propalog posla. Johnovi pokušaji dokazivanja identiteta propadaju što ga prisili da se poveže sa plemićevom obitelji.

Ekranizacija istoimene novele engleske spisateljice, Daphne du Maurier. Alec Guinness, glumac koji je osvojio Oskara za svoju ulogu u filmu "The Bridge on River Kwai", pojavljuje se u čak dvije uloge.
