Opis:
Nakon problematične mladosti i 18 godina provedenih u zatvoru, William Garnett (F. Whitaker) izlazi na slobodu. Uz pomoć socijalnog radnika idealističkih nazora i netom otkrivene muslimanske vjere, on pokušava izgraditi novi život i nadići nasilničke nagone koji ga i dalje opsjedaju. Međutim Bill Agati (H. Keitel), šerif pograničnog gradića u državi New Mexico, u kojem Garnett izlazi iz zatvora, ima druge planove. Uvjeren da je Garnett izgubljen slučaj te stoga i opasan za njegovo područje, pokreće kampanju kojom bi Garnetta doživotno vratio u zatvor...
