Opis:
Brazilski crno-bijeli igrani film u režiji Nelsona Pereire dos Santosa. Po žanru je drama i predstavlja adaptaciju istoimenog romana Graciliana Ramosa iz 1938. Protagonisti su članovi porodice siromašnih napoličara u sertãosima na sjeveroistoku Brazila. Radnja prati njihove pokušaje da prežive tokom dvije godine. Vidas Secas je bio u velikoj mjeri inspiriran ostvarenjima italijanskog neorealizma, ali mu je Pereira dos Santos dao i vlastiti autorski pečat, pri čemu se navodi scena koja zbivanja prikazuje iz perspektive umirućeg porodičnog psa. Vidas Secas je sljedeće godine bio prikazan na Kanskom festivalu gdje je dobio nagradu OCIC. Danas se često navodi kao prvo ostvarenje brazilskog filmskog pokreta poznatog kao Cinema Novo. [wiki]
