Opis:


A television program is interupted by a news network announcing that three meteors have hit the United States, France and China. At first it seems natural but after interviews by scientists and eyewitness seems to suggest that it is not. Three more meteors are coming and the various Earth governments combine forces to stop them.

    Film je rađen tako da izgleda kao redovni TV program. Gledamo igrani film koji se prekida zbog izvanrednih vijesti u kojima nam novinarka priopćava da su diljem sjeverne hemisfere zabilježena tri izuzetno jaka potresa. Nakon priopćenja, film se nastavlja da bi ubrzo bio ponovno prekinut zbog izvanrednih vijesti u kojima doznajemo da je uzrok potresa ogroman meteor koji se raspao na tri meteorita koja su udarila u Zemlju u SAD, Francuskoj i Kini. No, to je tek početak stvari koje će slijediti, a koje saznajemo iz javljanja uživo TV reportera, razgovora sa znanstvenicima, reportažama s mjesta događaja...

    Film je izazvao popriličnu paniku kao i nekad Orson Welleseova radio adaptacija "War of the Worlds", u najvećoj mjeri stoga što većinu glavnih likova tumače slavni novinari koji glume sami sebe.
