Opis:


— Rori Konor (Robson Grin) zna šta želi i zna da to neće dobiti radeći kao sakupljač kirije u sirotinjskim četvrtima Saut Šildsa. Rori nema ravnog za lokalnim kockarskim stolovima, ali on želi više od lakih igara i malih nagrada. Usmeravajući pogled ka nečemu mnogo većem, susreće se sa surovim svetom Frenka Nikla (Bernard Hil) sa opasnim po život posledicama.

Brak sa svojom ljubavlju iz detinjstva Džejni (Stefani Patson) dramatično se završava. Odbijajući da se obazire na neodobravanje društva i svoje radničke porodice, kasnije se ženi šefovom ćerkom, Šarlot Kin (Silvestra Le Tuzel). Ali dve stvari stoje na putu njegove svetle budućnosti. Duh iz prošlosti i zlokobna senka Nikla koji se neće zaustaviti ni pred čim da bi zaštitio svoje mračne tajne...
